Summer 2021 was very busy for Les Grands Ballets' dancers who made several stops across our beautiful province with the “Envolée au Québec” tour, from May 2 to August 8. This local tour began on the stage of the University of Shebrooke Cultural Centre with ECHOS, the company's latest show, on May 2. The dancers then presented a variety of pieces from the company's repertoire at the Théâtre Alphonse Desjardins in Repentigny on May 27, at the Danse Encore Festival in Trois-Rivières on June 3 and at the Théâtre Hector-Charland de l'Assomption on June 4. The dancers were also happy to take part in the Festival de Lanaudière once again this year, on July 23, as well as the Festival des Arts de Saint-Sauveur on August 8, presenting a mixed program of some of our public's favourite works.
''Since the pandemic period forced us all to stay at home, it was important for me, as soon as the sanitary measures allowed it, to be able to reach our audience outside of Montreal and to introduce more people to dance! I am happy to bring a little of Les Grands Ballets across the province and that this unique period has allowed us to present pieces of our vast repertoire on some of the many stages in Quebec.''
