To be a voluntary helper of Les Grands Ballets is to be part of stimulating projects such as The Nutcracker Fund for Children, the annual Benefit Gala, and the Nutcracker Market. But it may also involve clerical, technical or administrative support for the company’s special projects.
The Friends of Les Grands Ballets have a shared passion for dance. This committee’s sole concern is the welfare of the dancers. The sums raised from funding activities, such as the sale of dance shoes, partially cover the troupe’s physiotherapy services and Pilates program. As a Friend of Les Grands, you are entitled to certain privileges, such as being a volunteer for projects reserved for you. Even better, the Friends of Les Grands get to mingle with the dancers when preparing buffets for dress rehearsals.
We are presently seeking volunteers for:
The Nutcracker Market – November 24 to December 4
The Benefit Brunch – December 18
Fundraising during the performances of The Nutcracker – December 10 to 30. Every year, we ask volunteers to collect money directly at the Theatre before the performance, during intermission and after the performance. If you participate in the fundraising, you benefit from a ticket to the show at $ 20, valid the same evening.
All three events benefit The Nutcracker Fund for children.
Each year, the Fund allows 2,800 disadvantaged children to attend a free performance of The Nutcracker and to participate in educational workshops. The Fund also serves to annually refurbish the sets and costumes for The Nutcracker.
We are looking for volunteers throughout the year for various tasks and other punctual events. Register as a volunteer and we will be happy to keep you informed of our activities!
Please write to Rebecca Lowson at email@example.com if you would like to volunteer for Les Grands Ballets.
