Do you believe that art can improve well-being and that it should be accessible to all? So do we! Support our activities and help us bring the best of dance to everyone.

Did you know that during the 2023-2024 season, 4,000 spectators were invited to attend one of our shows for free, and that 500 people with various abilities benefited from our dance therapy and adapted dance services?

Our ticket sales and government grants cover approximately 75% of our operating costs, which means that a quarter of our operations and activities are made possible directly thanks to the generosity of our partners and donors! So it is thanks to you that we are able to share our love for ballet with as many people as possible.

A company worthy of its name

Company founded 66 years ago (in 1957) by Ludmilla Chiriaeff
Six productions a year in Montreal (45 performances at Place des Arts) as well as Canadian and international tours every year
Offices located in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles
Over 100 employees, including:
- Some 40 dancers from about 15 countries
- Around 40 administrative employees (artistic direction, production, marketing, fundraising, etc.)
- About 20 employees at our Costume Workshop
Roughly 40 technicians for every production
An orchestra with a variable size and composition, ranging from 30 to 60 musicians
A National Centre for Dance Therapy
A fitness centre: Studios GB

A strong commitment to the community

A series of free performances offered to different groups, ensuring inclusive access to our shows:
- 2800 vulnerable children invited to The Nutcracker, each year, as part of The Nutcracker Fund
- 1,000 young people with special needs (autism, intellectual disabilities) invited to relaxed performances each year
- 400 marginalized people invited each year as part of our Gratitude and Generosity Series
- 130 CEGEP students invited each year as part of the Aisenstadt Youth Fund
A group made up of 7 young adults with intellectual disabilities is welcomed each week for on-site work experience at Les Grands Ballets, in collaboration with the Les Petits Rois Foundation
National Center for Dance Therapy (created in 2013)
- 3,600 people living with a variety of challenges (senior citizens, caregivers, people with eating disorders, people on the autism spectrum, people living with Down’s syndrome, depression and other mental health issues, intellectual disabilities, Parkinson’s disease, chronic pain, and so on) have benefited from our services over the past 10 years.
- 600 people have joined the 28 dance therapy classes and adapted dance classes offered over the past 10 years
