Les Grands Ballets' Annual Gala was held on Saturday, May 13, under the co-presidency of honor by Jean-Yves Bourgeois, Executive Vice President, Business Services Group, at Desjardins Group, and Sylvain Corbeil, Senior Vice-President, National Accounts and Business Banking for Quebec at Scotiabank.
During this prestigious evening, the business and the arts communities came together to support Les Grands Ballets and its creation fund.
300 guests gathered for this occasion in the house of Les Grands Ballets, in an intimate and exclusive formula. Dinner was served onstage in the company’s Studio-Theatre, allowing guests to watch the dancers perform just a few steps away from them, in an enchanting setting.
Les Grands Ballets is happy that the business community has answered the call, and the success of this event is a testimony to the importance of meshing arts and business to support cultural institutions.
“The Desjardins Group is proud to support Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, a world-class cultural institution founded in Montreal. Quebec’s cultural and artistic milieu is a treasure that makes our heritage, our diversity and our creativity shine across the world. It is essential to our collective and individual well-being. It is up to us then to support its vitality and to make it as accessible as possible”, affirms Jean-Yves Bourgeois, Executive Vice President, Business Services Group, at Desjardins Group.
All profits earned during the evening benefit will be donated to Les Grands Ballets’ creation fund, helping the company to carry on its pursuit of excellence, creativity and audacity through the constant renewal and enrichment of its repertory.
