Les Grands Ballets Canadiens is committed to fostering interest in dance and enriching young people’s cultural education through special events made for them. We are delighted to invite you to an educational matinee dedicated to Cinderella, one of the jewels of classical ballet.
This unique school outing is a perfect opportunity to immerse your students in the universe of one of the greatest ballets in the classical repertoire.
The matinee will offer your students the exceptional opportunity to attend an hour of excerpts from the show, beautifully performed by the dancers of Les Grands Ballets, accompanied by enriching commentary.
A dossier with educational materials will be provided to accompany you and your students during this matinee. It includes a history of the ballet, biographies of the artists, descriptions of the main characters of the work, the dance techniques used, and references to the composers.
This year, thanks to a collaboration with the Centre de services scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys, 400 students from disadvantaged backgrounds will be invited free of charge to the matinee. We also sincerely thank Canada Life, our partner for the educational matinees.
