Yael is a dance therapist, certified both in Israel and in France. She has a master in dance from the Rubin Dance Academy in Jerusalem, and a dance therapy certificate from INECAT, Paris and Seminar-Hakibuzim, Tel-Aviv. Yael specializes in Dyadic Psychotherapy and is currently concluding a certificate program for Infant-Parent Mental Health at UMass, Boston. Thanks to many years of experience in dance therapy, with young children and their parents, she is now developing a model for Relational Dance Movement Therapy. With the collaboration of the CNDT, she has created a first pilot project for the families of children on the autism spectrum. Yael wants to integrate dance, movement and choreography in the creation of new, playful ways of connecting with ourselves and with others.
With and without music, on the floor or in nature, on my own or within a group using improvisation structures leading me to surprise myself
On the ground or in the waters, with relation to the changing gravity. Exploring balance and imbalance, breathing in and out, perceiving movement in space and time, speaking without words. I enjoy observing the movement surrounding me, revealing the hidden meanings of movement relations to the ground, to oneself and others
When dance happens, when movement precedes thought, when surprisingly the body moves itself effortlessly
