To express the things that can’t be said
Because it makes me feel alive
In order to explore things out of my comfort zone
At a young age, Maria trained as a provincial level gymnast, but quickly realized her affinity toward dance. She attended an arts high school, where she developed a love for contemporary dance and the creative process. This led her to continue her studies in University and since then, has deepened her appreciation for dance expression. Her natural teaching abilities and adoration for children, has allowed her to instruct at countless schools, camps, and community centres. Aside from teaching, Maria has also worked as a rehearsal director for various companies such as Lara Kramer Danse, CHA Collectif, Parts+Labor_ Danse, and Bouge D’ici.
