Originally from the Laurentides, Émilie grew up in a universe dominated by artistic skating, dance and gymnastics. Led by her passion, she trained at the École de dance contemporaine de Montréal, graduating in 2006. Since then, she has worked with various Montrealers choreographers and has developed her own projects, which combine contemporary dance with breakdance. At the same time, her interest for the science of body and health motivated her to study occupational therapy, a profession she has been practising since 2011. Confident of the benefits of dance, during her university studies Émilie developed a program of adapted dance classes for children with physical handicaps. More recently, she has set up a movement therapy group for people suffering from chronic pain and she is collaborating to the development of artistic creation projects for hospital patients at the CHUM. Combining her multiple experiences and skills, Émilie integrates different movement approaches and aims at breaking barriers for people with handicaps to allow everyone to develop their own potential.
