It was the desire to jump, spin and run everywhere that led Andrew to his first ballet class. Forty-five years later, his passion for movement continues to be expressed through dance, choreography and teaching. Les Grands Ballets is, for him, a lifetime affair—a fulfilling space. As a child, he participated in The Nutcracker and later he joined the company as a professional dancer, living more than 10 emotion-filled years with Les Grands Ballets.
On everything! Even silence...
Thanks to emotion.

Andrew studied ballet at the École supérieure de danse du Québec and at the National Ballet School of Canada in Toronto. After two years with the National Ballet of Canada, he joined Les Grands Ballets Canadiens in 1985, where he became first soloist. After a stay at the Toronto Dance Theater and at Ballet BC, he returned to Montreal to dance with the Company in 2000. His role as a teacher and rehearsalist allows him to share his passion for dance and deepen his artistic vision. His experience has led him to teach movement to a diverse clientele: ballet dancers, young actors and athletes. He teaches at the École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec, the École Nationale de Théâtre and at the Ballet du Haut-Richelieu. He has also taught ballet to the National Synchronized Swimming Team. In 2003, he was awarded the Clifford E. Lee Prize for his choreographic work.
