For a fourth consecutive year, Les Grands Ballets joins the Australian Ballet, the Bolshoi Ballet, the Royal Opera House Ballet and many other professional companies around the world to celebrate World Ballet Day on October 19.
A global event, World Ballet Day brings its audiences to the studios and theatres of the biggest international companies every year. Starting at 6 PM, Les Grands Ballets will present for this special occasion a rehearsal of Mauro Bigonzetti’s Four Seasons and of choreographer Gaby Baars’ new piece, Rule 26 1/2, filmed in the company’s Studio-Théâtre. The two pieces are currently onstage at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier as part of triple-bill The Four Seasons, presented until October 23.
What's more, Les Grands Ballets' recreational division, Les STUDIOS, is inviting all to discover ballet with a special promotion for World Ballet Day. Until October 19, anyone can purchase a 5-class bundle at $50 off regular price to try any of the 25+ dance and fitness classes offered in-studio each week.
