The Nutcracker Fund celebrates 26 years of creativity and outreach to young people this year. This educational program offers an unforgettable artistic experience to 2,800 children in vulnerable situations every year. Support this initiative and team up with us to help marginalized young people develop their artistic curiosity.
This fall, professional artists will lead over 240 workshops in schools from disadvantaged backgrounds, exploring the world of The Nutcracker through dance and visual arts. Our dancers will also offer a moment of magic to sick children by visiting hospitals and foundations.
On Tuesday, December 19, we will offer an educational matinee of The Nutcracker with orchestra to 2,800 children. Among them, 1,400 students from underprivileged schools selected by Une école montréalaise pour tous, as well as 1,400 children living in vulnerable situations, coming from foundations and hospitals chosen in collaboration with our partners and donors, will be able to discover this enchanting ballet.
A relaxed performance of Giselle will also be offered on May 29, 2024, to some 600 young people with varying abilities (Down syndrome, autism, intellectual disability, neurocognitive disorders), tailored to their sensory needs.
By contributing to the Nutcracker Fund, you are also helping us preserve the longevity of The Nutcracker. This program supports the annual refurbishment of the costumes and sets of this emblematic ballet, which has enchanted young and old alike for almost 60 years!
Together, let's make art accessible and inspire change - from childhood onwards.
