After performing sold-out shows at the National Arts Center in Ottawa in 2022, the company will travel to Quebec City this year to present The Nutcracker at Grand Théâtre de Québec, from December 7 to 10, 2023. The show will then be presented at Place des Arts in Montreal, from December 14 to 30, 2023.
Journey through a magical land on the lovely music by Tchaikovsky, interpreted by Orchestre Symphonique de Québec. Considered as one of the most beautiful traditions of the holiday season, The Nutcracker is a majestic production that brings together more than a hundred dancers on stage in sumptuous sets. Inspired by Hoffmann’s tale and created in 1964 by Quebec choreographer Fernand Nault, this ballet has been dazzling the young and the old for several decades, blending fantasy, magic and humor.
Fourty-five minutes before each show, children are invited in the hall of salle Louis-Fréchette for a reading of the fabulous tale.
