Excerpt from NEBE: A Journey Between Earth and Sky
In NEBE, Jérémy Galdeano and Věra Kvarčáková explore the duality between earth and sky, or nebe, a Czech word that signifies both the sky and paradise. This piece invites the audience into a poetic reflection on impermanence and reverie. The dance, light and ethereal, is enhanced by otherworldly costumes that add a celestial dimension to the creation. The performance is accompanied by the famous Pas de deux from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, offering a delicately sensory experience.
Excerpt from Podium: The Frenzy of a Race Against Oneself
In his piece Podium, Étienne Delorme immerses us in a contemporary world where pointe ballet meets sound experimentation. This captivating work explores the theme of a race against oneself, where frenzy and exhaustion merge in an intense and energetic choreography. The soundtrack, featuring engine roars and techno mixes created by Montreal artists, provides the piece with an electrifying atmosphere that is sure to captivate the audience.
Overall, you will discover six exclusive excerpts from performances highlighting the diversity and richness of the festival's offerings.
