On November 8, 2022, we welcomed Luca “Lazylegz” Patuelli and his ILL-Abilities crew for an evening under the slogan of “No Excuses No Limits”.
The No Limits Reunion, which took place in the crew's first international tour since the pandemic, also marks five years of our partnership with Lazylegz. The event started with a small cocktail, during which Lazylegz revealed that the internationally acclaimed B-Boy Junior is joining the crew. He also announced that he will be offering a new series of creative movement workshops in the winter of 2023 with the NCDT.
The ILL-Abilities crew then presented their new choreography, which was complemented by the performances of the Montreal students of Lazylegz. Following the performance, around 40 B-Boys and B-Girls of all abilities competed in a friendly breakdance competition. After the qualifications, the No Limits Concept Dance Battles began: created by ILL-Abilities, this concept invites local and international dancers to think outside the box and learn to use restrictions and adaptive aids as an advantage.
The evening ended in a festive and positive mood. This opportunity to bring together so many different actors from the community has allowed people of all ages to be inspired.
