This winter, Luca Lazylegz Patuelli will offer five creative movement workshops in our studios.
Open to any body and any dancer looking to find new ways to move creatively, the workshops will work on dancer’s body awareness, movement in space, levels, strength and presence.
After each workshop, Lazylegz will also create challenges to keep the dancers motivated throughout the month.
These workshops will be held at the Grands Ballets Canadiens, on the last Sunday of each month, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., with an optional additional 30 minutes for questions and freestyle sessions, which will allow participants to socialize and continue to learn.
The participation to each workshop costs of $15, but it's possible to sign up for the five workshops at the reduced rate of $70.
While it is possible to register for a single workshop, participants are encouraged to participate to the whole series, as each workshop will draw on the past ones.
Address: 1435 de Bleury, 4th floor, Montréal, QC, H3A 2H7
This workshop will be focusing on the importance of understanding how to use your body and knowing and trusting your body to lead you in your movements. The dancers will get to experience various movement exercises adapted for all to move freely. Lazylegz will also use this time to analyze each dancer and create individual challenges.
This workshop will focus on how to maximize your movement with the space around you. Lazylegz will also touch upon the importance of delivering specific movements in different areas.
This workshop will touch upon the prior two workshops and we will be creating phrases of movements. Exercises will be taught on how to perform the phrases in different positions with our bodies.
Please note that dancers that have the possibility of doing floor movements will be asked to use the floor, those that do not have the possibility the movements will be adapted.
Lazylegz will be focusing on the various strength training exercises adapted for all. This workshop is intended to help guide dancers in maintaining strength in their movement and performance.
This workshop brings everything together and will focus on the delivery of your movements. Various activities and exercises will be shared to help dancers improve their quality of performance.
