The second cohort of the Alternate Route, the only comprehensive dance therapy training program offered in Canada, is completing its training this month. This cohort is made up of 17 women from Canada, Lebanon and Australia, from various fieldes of expertise including psychology, dance, ophthalmology, occupational therapy, and more. They will have been trained by Miriam Berger, Judith Richardson Bunney, Corinne Ott-Marquart, Martha Davis and Hedda Lausberg, pioneers and international specialists in the field of dance-therapy.
Upon completing this training, these women will be able to begin internships and begin their careers as dance therapists, as early as this August!
This session ends a cycle for the National Centre for Dance Therapy, which is already preparing auditions for a 3rd cohort on September 22 and 23.
