You can make a donation to Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, and if you wish, we can ask the person's family and friends to make the same gesture, as a token of their sympathy.

You can transfer eligible securities (listed securities or others) to Les Grands Ballets Canadiens. This is the most tax-efficient form of giving: you receive an income tax receipt for the securities’ market value at the time the donation is made, without having to pay any income tax on capital gains.

First large cultural donation

Did you know that the Quebec government offers an additional tax credit equal to 25% of the eligible amount of a first large cultural donation, in addition to the regular tax credit for charitable donations?

To qualify for the additional tax credit, your donation must meet the following requirements:

Monetary donation of at least $5,000 but no more than $25,000
Donation made by an individual (other than a trust)
Donation made since July 4, 2013

This additional tax credit applies only once during the period in question.
