Bernardo Betancor is of English and Spanish nationality and was raised in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Canary Islands. He took his first ballet class at the age of 4 years old and has been dancing ever since. In 2015, upon the invitation of Victor Ullate, he moved to Madrid to train at his school. From 2017-2018, he trained at The Washington School of Ballet in Washington DC, and later with Carmen and Anatol Yanowsky in the Centro Coreografico of Las Palmas. In 2020, after two years of training, he graduated from English National Ballet School, having danced with English National Ballet in London and on tour. In the 2020-2021 season he was a member of Ballett Dortmund’s NRW Junior Company before spending the 2021-2022 season training with his teacher Taina Morales and freelancing with English National Ballet for their Nutcracker season. He joins Les Grands Ballets Canadiens for the 2022-2023 season.
