This class is geared towards students who master the basic foundations of classical ballet technique, with at least 2 years of practice and who are interested in learning the technique of the pointe work.
Students will execute a series of exercises at the barre, developing and strengthening legs, ankles, feet and core muscles that are necessary for the execution of pointe work, maintaining proper alignment and balance.
If you have one or two years of experience on pointe, this class is meant for you. We recommend taking a ballet class as a warm up to the pointe class in order to avoid injuries.
CLASS DURATION: 30 min
AGE GROUP: 16 years old and over
CLIENTELE: All public GENERAL PREREQUISITES: Students must participate in the ballet class that precedes the pointe class. Online reservations for points class are not permitted; you you must reserve directly at the reception desk or by phone. The Studios and their professors have the right to limit the participation to this class only to those students who meet these conditions.
