This class is intended for teens and young adults ages 15 to 35 living with Down syndrome or an intellectual disability. It offers them a space to explore and experience an artistic creation process. Inspired by the world of musical theatre, it combines singing, dance, and stage expression. Participants explore rhythm, stage space, and movement dynamics, drawing inspiration from Broadway shows to reinterpret selected works in their own way. Through guided and playful activities, the class encourages body awareness, teamwork, and collective creation.
The main goal is to enjoy creating, performing, and sharing an artistic experience as a group. Each class is led by two facilitators of the National Centre for Dance Therapy, who are experts in dance and in supporting diverse populations.
