This class is designed for children ages 5 to 8 living with Down syndrome or an intellectual disability. Inspired by creative dance and musical theatre, it aims to develop motor skills, spatial awareness, and physical mobility in a playful and supportive environment. Children explore different movement qualities, directions, levels, as well as basic rhythmic exercises.
The primary goal is to offer them an opportunity to discover dance through an approach thoughtfully designed to support their well-being and personal growth. Each class is led by two facilitators of the National Centre for Dance Therapy, who are experts in dance and in supporting diverse populations.
