"When I was 15 and I started dancing, I was shy. And I'm not shy anymore, so now I'm brave and I like this dance" - Participant
Based on the fundamentals of creative dance and musical theatre, this class aims to offer everyone with an opportunity to express themselves through improvisation exercises and choreographic creations. Participants will be able to explore their love for performing arts, dance and movement. Everyone, young and old, with Down Syndrome or an intellectual disability is welcome.
"I wanted him to be in a positive and familiar environment. Before, when he was dancing at home, he was hiding. Now, if we go to his room while he’s dancing, he lets us watch. He also expresses himself more freely, even though he’s still shy."
