Since its creation 65 years ago this year, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens have performed in more than 300 cities in over 30 countries, including Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Israel, Oman, Egypt, France, Italy, England, Japan, Spain, Germany, Greece, China, as well as across Canada and the United States.
The tours allow our talents and expertise to shine, offering dancers and artists the opportunity to present their work on the world's greatest stages, such as the Liceu Theatre in Barcelona, the National Dance Theatre, Chaillot in Paris, the City Center in New York, the NPCA in Beijing, the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, the Royal Opera House in Muscat, Oman, and the Teatro Malibran, as part of the Venice Dance Biennial...
These activities are essential to the prestige and international influence of Les Grands Ballets, recognized as one of the great institutions of dance, both nationally and internationally. By performing throughout the world, the company confirms its status as an outstanding cultural ambassador for Canada.
On a regular basis, Les Grands Ballets undertakes two tours per season, one in Canada and one internationally. The company travels with an average of sixty people (approximately 40 dancers, artistic team, technical team, pianist, physiotherapist, etc.).
