Les Grands Ballets is pleased to announce that it will go on tour around Quebec in November, 2022, before heading to Ottawa from December 1 to 4 to present The Nutcracker.
During the Quebec tour, the company will present a mixed program combining classical ballet and contemporary dance, recent creations by artists of the new generation and repertory excerpts. It promises to be an exceptional event, with a program that includes excerpts from Uwe Scholz’s 7th Symphony, Ben Van Cauwenbergh’s Les bourgeois, Marcos Morau’s Fukuoka, excerpts from The Four Seasons by Mauro Bigonzetti and other surprises. At the Grand Théâtre in Quebec City, the program will be completed by a presentation of Stabat MATER, a striking piece by choreographer Edward Clug.
In spring 2023, the company will be in Sherbrooke to perform Requiem.
This tour will allow us to reach more than 17,000 spectators and to have a significant impact on the local communities. Cultural mediation activities are also planned on site, where principal dancer Raphaël Bouchard will meet with a total of 90 students to pass on his love for dance, while inspiring new generations. It is with your support that these projects become possible. Support our mission, help us reach new audiences and make art more easily accessible to everyone and everywhere by making a donation.
