In collaboration with the Ministère de l’Éducation program A Montréal School for All, 450 students from challenging backgrounds attended the school matinee of The Sleeping Beauty last Thursday, free of charge. These children also had the unique opportunity to meet with the performers of The Carabosse Fairy, The Lilac Fairy, Prince Désiré, and Princess Florine, all greeted them at their seats before the show!
This shortened version of the performance, accompanied with insights about the production, introduced 2,800 elementary and high school students to the world of ballet.
We are deeply grateful for the support of Canada Life, our partner for educational matinees, enabling us to continue our cultural outreach initiatives for young audiences.
