Marc Parent has been a lighting designer for over thirty years. Initially specializing in contemporary dance, he has collaborated with dozens of choreographers, both in the Quebec scene and on the international stage (Daniel Léveillé, Danièle Desnoyers, José Navas, Lucie Grégoire, Jocelyne Monpetit, Peggy Baker), and more. He has also frequently worked in theater with various directors, including Denis Marleau, Martin Faucher, and François Girard.
In the realm of contemporary and neoclassical ballet, he has created lighting designs for several international choreographers, including Kader Belarbi (Beauty and the Beast), Mauro Bigonzetti (The Four Seasons), Didy Veldman (TooT, The Little Prince), and Stijn Cellis (Noces, Cinderella, The Rite of Spring), Annabelle Lopez Ochoa (Vendetta: Storie di mafia), and more recently, Ivan Cavalleri (Giselle, Romeo & Juliet) and Jayne Smeulders (Cinderella).
