Maeva was born in Montreal, Canada, and began ballet at the age of 7. She was mentored early on by Jesús Corrales, who played an important role in guiding her development as a dancer.
At 13, Maeva moved to Portugal to study at the Conservatório Internacional de Ballet e Dança Annarella Sanchez, continuing her professional training. A year later, in 2018, she was accepted into the Paris Opera Ballet School.
She graduated from the Paris Opera Ballet School in July 2021, at the age of 16, and received the Diplôme National Supérieur Professionnel de Danseur, France’s national diploma for professional dancers.
Maeva joined the Paris Opera Ballet that same year on a fixed-term contract, performing in major productions until May 2023.
While growing up, Maeva danced in Les Grands Ballets Canadiens’ Nutcracker for several years, in various children’s roles. She later returned to work with the company as an extra dancer from 2023 to 2025, participating in multiple productions. In 2025, she officially joined Les Grands Ballets Canadiens as a member of the corps de ballet.
