As an apprentice with the National Ballet of Canada, Esabelle Chen danced in Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, The Nutcracker, and pas de deux in various other ballets such as William Tell and Elite Syncopations (as part of the YOU dance program). She was also featured in Maurice Bejart’s Sonata No. 5, George Balanchine’s Who cares?, Jiri Kylian’s Indigo Rose and Wings of Wax during the Banff summer intensive showcase. In 2012, Esabelle toured across Canada in Ballet Jorgen’s new production of Swan Lake.
