While the Eifman Ballet of St. Petersburg is in Montreal with their show Requiem, Olga Kalmykova will be offering ballet class on February 24th, suited to advanced beginner dancers.
Advanced Beginner Class
- 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. -
This class is geared towards participants of a beginner level with at least one year of experience in classical ballet. Dancers will be encouraged to develop their footwork by developing simple, complex, controlled, punctuated and accelerated modalities of coordination.
Graduated from the Tashkent State Higher School of National Dance and Choreography in Uzbekistan, Olga Kalmykova, performed as a soloist with the Navoi Theatre from 1974 until 1978, and from 1978 until 1980 at the Mariinski Ballet (also known as Kirov Theatre) in St. Petersburg, Russia. Since 1980, she joined the Eifman Ballet of St. Petersburg as a soloist.
