By Vanesa Garcia-Ribala Montoya
Vanesa G.R. Montoya, principal dancer at Les Grands Ballets and choreographer, presents a rich and dense work entitled From the Sun to the Moon. The central theme of the creation is the coexistence of multiple realities in the world, provoking both a constant struggle and a limitless hope.
Inspired by the music of Haitian artist Moonlight Benjamin, the choreographer explores spirituality and the history of the island. Video projections on the stage brings the audience to the intersection of the physical and spiritual worlds.
