Calling beginner, intermediate and professional-level dancers alike: our master classes will be back in session by February 24th here at Les Grands Ballets. The first available master class will be offered by Olga Kalmykova of the Eifman Ballet of St Petersburg. Olga Kalmykova will be offering two classes, one designated for dancers at a starting level, and another suited to professional-level dancers.
Two classes will be offered on the 24th, one geared towards participants who are either expert, pre-professional or professional classical dancers seeking out a training that will push them to develop their technique and physical ability and one towards participants of a beginner level with at least one year of experience in classical ballet.
Graduated from the Tashkent State Higher School of National Dance and Choreography in Uzbekistan, Olga Kalmykova, performed as a soloist with the Navoi Theatre from 1974 until 1978, and from 1978 until 1980 at the Mariinski Ballet (also known as Kirov Theatre) in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Since 1980, she joined the St. Petersburg Eifman Ballet as a soloist. Today, Olga Kalmykova is an assistant ballet master and tutor at the St. Petersburg Eifman Ballet.
