Madam Constance Pathy, president of the board of directors of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal, is pleased to announce the appointment of Marc Lalonde to the position of executive director.
A seasoned manager and administrator, Mr. Lalonde has worked in the cultural world for over 20 years, in the circus, music, dance and theatre sectors. Currently executive director of the Conservatoire de musique et d’art dramatique du Québec (2015-2018), he has held the same position at the National Circus School (1999-2015) as well as with the I Musici de Montréal Chamber Orchestra (1997-1999). He will take office at Les Grands Ballets on Monday, October 1.
“On behalf of the board of directors, I’m proud to be welcoming Marc Lalonde as executive director of the Grands Ballets,” stated Madam Pathy when she made the announcement to Les Grands Ballets’ employees just this morning. “With his extensive experience in management, and his familiarity with the cultural domain both in Montreal and internationally, he’s well prepared to ensure the development and continued prominence of the company.” She concluded, “I wish to thank the members of the selection committee for their commitment and their invaluable contribution over the past few months.”
