Help the Grands Ballets' Jeunes Gouverneurs fund Montreal's new dance and arts quarters by contributing to their La Ruche crowdfunding campaign.
Join our efforts and those of Vanessa Pilon, spokesperson to this campaign, to fund the state-of-the-art Édifice Wilder : Espace Danse —the new home of the Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal located in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles. The Wilder Building is a bold statement invigorating the Montreal art scene that symbolizes dance as an inclusive and unifying experience with our community.
The Jeunes Gouverneurs of the Grands Ballets will raise $20,000 through this crowdfunding initiative to fund the incorporation of the Édifice Wilder : Espace Danse as a hub of art and culture accessible to all Montrealers.
What the amount requested will be used for:
Your donation will go towards inspiring young people to discover and become passionate about ballet and modern dance—its artistry, craftsmanship and rich history as a celebrated performing art—both in Montreal and on the global stage.
The $20,000 raised in this crowdfunding campaign will be formally recognised by naming a room in the new Édifice Wilder : Espace Danse in honour of the Jeunes gouverneurs, as a proud commitment to our cultural community and to the future of arts patronage in Montreal.
Where did this idea come from?
Our goals as Jeunes Gouverneurs are to raise awareness about fine arts philanthropy and to encourage fellow young professionals to experience and appreciate the Grands Ballets. We host events and activities throughout the year—from ballet classes to networking cocktails to gala dinners—so that we may help to democratize dance as an accessible art form and promote engagement with the ballet among a new generations of patrons.
Thank you for supporting our crowdfunding campaign! Your donation contributes tremendously to the heritage of Montreal’s artistic community; it is a gift of the art of movement—a unifying experience for us all!
The campaign ends April 15th.
