“Since the beginning of my involvement with Les Grands Ballets, forty years ago, I have strongly believed that the company should strive for excellence and assume a leadership role within the cultural life of Montreal. I am proud of how the company has evolved, and that it performs to critical acclaim on stages around the world. Les Grands Ballets demonstrates to us, day after day, that art has transformative powers, whether by way of its breathtaking shows or through other major projects like the Nutcracker Fund for Children and the National Centre for Dance Therapy. My warmest thanks to the exceptional volunteer leaders with whom I’ve had the privilege of collaborating and who provided me with their support, as well as to the entire team, working tirelessly for the success of the company. More than anything, I wish to thank the magnificent dancers, the heart and soul of Les Grands Ballets, whose artistic excellence enhances the reputation of the institution. Long live Les Grands Ballets!”
