Earlier this fall, Alain Dancyger, Les Grands Ballets' Executive Director for nearly 21 years, has received the badge of the National Order of Merit, awarded by the French government. He also launched at the same occasion his first book, L’Économie du bon sens – Redevenons humains, at Édito, a subsidiary of Gallimard.
** The book: for a more humane business world and economy **
"Since the beginning of the industrial era, we have been evolving in a growth economy that promotes material wealth and social success. However, research in psychology and sociology demonstrates that the well-being of an individual is linked to the quality of his human relationships and not to the value of his bank account.
With this in mind, the author demonstrates the importance of reforming the current economic system, which no longer reflects the reality of the world, in order to promote a new mode of management based on what he himself describes as the ''economy of common sense". This economy goes hand in hand with an economy of happiness, which integrates the values inspired by Buddhism and the Kabbalah. This economy would allow the employee to develop his/her creativity, intuition, self-awareness and an awereness of the world, and encourage him/her to participate fully in the business mission of tomorrow.
Using economic, psychological, sociological and philosophical references, this book encourages us to build a future of hope. - Editorial
